The 22-year-old is determined to stay at Milan, despite interest from Lazio…
It has long been reported that Ignazio Abate will form a make-weight in Milan’s deal for Lazio’s Lorenzo De Silvestri, however, the player wants to remain at the San Siro, according to his agent.
Andrea D’Amico, has attempted to diffuse the rumours by announcing that his client wants to break into the Milan first team.
“He is happy to remain with the Rossoneri,” D’Amico toldLaLazioSiamoNoi.it.
“He returned from Torino this season and is determined to create an important place for himself. No one from Lazio has ever spoken to me, so I don’t know [about a transfer].”
However, D’Amico did leave the door ajar for a transfer to occur if Abate’s situation at Milan was to change.
“To speak of the possibility of going to play in Rome seems a little premature to me, because as I said, no one has talked about it, but to say that Abate would say ‘no’ to Lazio seems too far to me.”
