The Rossoneri hard-man has praised his inconsistent Brazilian team-mate ahead of the new campaign…
The 2009-10 Italian Serie A gets underway this weekend, and it promises to be an intriguing campaign, with a number of teams drastically enhancing their squads over the summer.
As always, the likes of Inter, Juventus and Milan are making the most noise where their Scudetto chances are concerned, although many believe that the latter will not pose a serious threat to their cross-town rivals and the Old Lady.
In light of their poor pre-season form, the Rossoneri’s Gennaro Gattuso agrees that it won’t be easy for his side this term; however, he reckons that anything is possible with a certain Ronaldinho in their ranks.
“Juve and Inter may be the favourites, but we have Ronaldinho,” Gattuso explained to Sky.
“He is a very important player, and if he can return to his great levels of the past, then we will lift as a club.
“Over the past 20 days he has been doing a lot of hard work in training, to ensure that he is fit for the new season.
“With him playing well in our side, I’m sure that we will be able to make the most of our opportunities.”
