The Rossoneri kicked off the new season with three points, and the man goal could hardly be happier…
Milan goalkeeper Marco Storari had an opportunity to prove himself on Saturday evening during his side’s 2-1 win at Siena in the first matchday of Serie A.
“There’s great satisfaction for this win,” commented the former Messina goalkeeper to Milan Channel. “We needed this win to start the season on the right track, now we must concentrate on the next match.
“Siena’s equaliser arrived due to our mistake and we were good enough to double the score straight away early in the second half.
“Personally I’m happy and I hope that I have many more chances to defend Milan’s goal. In front of me in defence there are [Alessandro] Nesta, who returned to great levels, and Thiago Silva, who is really good.
“On Saturday the derby awaits us, let’s hope to play the game in the best possible way.”
This was the 32-year-old’s fourth Serie A match with Milan, where in total he has so far conceded eight goals.
