The attacker played for 25 minutes against the Nerazzurri but could do nothing to prevent his side from suffering a humiliating defeat…
Milan striker Klass-Jan Huntelaar came on as a substitute during his side’s 4-0 humbling by Inter in what was a nightmarish Serie A debut for the Dutchman.
Huntelaaar probably had dreamt of scoring the winning goal on his first outing, but by the time he was called into action, the Nerazzurri had already secured the win and proved their superiority over the Rossoneri.
“It was a tough game, but until the first goal and the red card it went well,” explained the former Real Madrid player to Milan Channel.
“Then when we ended up playing with one player less [following Gennaro Gattuso’s red card], we were forced to change our tactical set up.
“Personally, I enjoy playing as a central striker.”
Huntelaar may have the chance to play in his favoured position when Serie A resumes in two weeks’ time with Milan travelling to Tuscany to face newly promoted Livorno.
