Abate can see a trophy winning season as he urges the team to continue climbing the table after pushing Juventus down into third…
Milan’s Ignazio Abate has urged the team to continue on the right track after they waltzed into second place to move within seven points of league leaders Inter.
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar got the Rossoneri out of jail against Catania as his late double settled the affair. It’s onwards and upwards at Milanello as Leonardo’s men continue to show their strength.
“It was not an easy game as Catania played well, but in the end we always had control of the game,” Abate toldTuttomercatoweb.com.
“We were not incisive in the first half but then the two goals from Huntelaar broke the deadlock. I am really happy for him as he has been working hard in training.”
Despite the seven point gap with the cugini from across town, Abate insists his side will fight on to make up the deficit and challenge for the title.
“We are all united and we will never give up until the end. I am happy to be part of such a fantastic team,” he added.
“We know that if we make an effort we will be able to achieve something good this season.”
