The Italian stopper is on the mend…
Milan defender Alessandro Nesta is expected to overcome his injury woes and return to training next week.
Nesta has been out for two weeks following an injury he sustained to his right leg. It forced him to miss Sunday’s derby loss to Inter on Sunday, as well the midweekCoppa Italia elimination against Udinese.
Spirits have been raised at Milanello though. The club has confirmed Nesta will be ready for action on Monday as Leonardo breathes a sigh of relief.
A statement on their official website reads:
“A.C Milan communicates the medical situation of the following injured players.
“Alessandro Nesta has started physical work and will return to full training with the rest of the team next week.”
Alexandre Pato is less fortunate though. He faces a longer spell on the sidelines following his recent woes.
“Pato has resumed his physiotherapy work and he will have one final test in around 10 days before he can return to training.”
