Alexandre Pato believes he can continue his recent good form for Brazil at Milan.
Alexandre Pato is ready to step into Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s boots when Milan take on Chievo at the weekend.
Pato has enjoyed recent good form while on international duty with Brazil. And with Massimiliano Allegri planning to rest the Sweden striker ahead of next week’s Champions League match against Real Madrid, the Brazilian is eager to lay down a marker up front.
“It’s the best moment of my career,” Pato told globoesporte.com.
“I am happy to have returned to the national team.
“I have confidence in my play. Moreover I am sure that by continuing to express myself to the maximum at Milan I will keep being called up to Brazil.”
The Rossoneri play Chievo on Saturday evening, but Ibrahimovic could sit the game out with a recent hernia problem that is not thought to be serious.
