Milan Did Not Deserve To Lose Against Juventus – Massimiliano Allegri

Allegri accepts Juventus defeat, but said his side deserved a draw at least.

Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has defended his side from criticism, insisting they did not deserve to lose against Juventus.

The Rossoneri went down fighting as they lost 2-1 at San Siro.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic offered them a life-line late on when he headed home to pull one back, but the damage had already been done by Alessandro Del Piero and Fabio Quagliarella.

“Milan played a good game, we created chances, we limited them early in the first half. We had chances to draw the game, but we were unable to. This is football,” he told Sky Sport Italia after the game.

“The result is not what our football showed yesterday, but this is football.

“We made mistakes for their goals. This is a game we certainly did not deserve to lose.

“This is football. We have to accept defeat with serenity and move on. I am sure that we will still be able to fight to win the league.”
