Mano Menezes is keen to have a fully-fit Kaka pulling the strings once more for his Brazil team…
Brazil coach Mano Menezes affirmed that he was keen to welcome Real Madrid star Kaka back into the international fold, as the playmaker continues his recovery after spending more than six months on the sidelines through injury.
The player underwent knee surgery shortly after the World Cup which kept him immobile until the new year; and he has struggled to find his previous excellent form since returning to first team duty with the Merengues.
Menezes however is certain that a fully-fit Kaka would be an integral part of his Selecao team, even though he was left out of the latest squad to take on Scotland at the end of March.
“I have great hopes of evetually including Kaka. What needs to be clear is that the most important objective is to find suitable alternatives, in case that hope is not realised in the future. I cannot stay waiting for a situation that may not happen”, Menezes told reporters in today’s press conference, where he released the names of the 24 players who would contest the next friendly.
“I am opening the door for him a little more, but without losing my alternatives so that, if we do not have him we at least have some solutions for the Selecao.”
