Real Madrid’s Kaka Back In Brazil Squad For Friendlies In November!

Brazil’s coach Mano Menezes has finally decided to call up Kaka in the national squad!

Mano Menezes has recalled Kaka to the Brazil squad for the upcoming friendlies with Gabon and Egypt, in a squad containing no home-based players due to the climax of the Brazilian Championship.

There are also first call-ups for Neto, Alex Sandro, Willian, Dudu and Bruno Cesar as the coach looks to take the opportunity to assess some of his other options ahead of the 2014 World Cup.

However, the focus will undeniably be on the recall of Kaka for the first time since the 2010 FIFA World Cup, which highlights the players stunning return to form at the Bernabeu.

Kaka, who has not played for Brazil since the quarter-final defeat to the Netherlands at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, has enjoyed a rise back to form this season at Real Madrid, and his involvement in the Spanish giants’ set-up has earned him his first-ever call-up under Mano Menezes.

“I had always said, and he was aware of it, that if he returned to form and he started to play regularly again, he would return to the team,” Menezes told reporters at a press conference on Thursday.

“This is a good opportunity for that to happen.”

Menezes explained that the absence of players who compete in the Brazilian league is because the competition is reaching its closing stages.

Brazil are playing Gabon in Libreville on November 10 and Egypt in Qatar four days later.
