EXCLUSIVE: Milan Ponder Bid For Juventus’ Fabio Quagliarella

The Rossoneri are looking to add an extra attacker to their squad in the January transfer window and have allegedly set their sights on the Italy international…

Milan could make Juventus a January offer for Fabio Quagliarella after potentially losing Antonio Cassano for six months.

The latter is expected to have minor heart surgery on Friday after falling ill on the flight home from Milan’s 3-2 win at Roma on Saturday.

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani yesterday suggested that the player would be out of action for between four and six months, a timescale which has got the transfer rumour mill buzzing.

According to some reports in the peninsula on Thursday, the reigning champions may target Quagliarella.

The 28-year-old is now fit after missing the first six months of 2011 with injury, but he has struggled to feature under new Juve boss Antonio Conte so far.

The Italian international, who wants to be a part of Euro 2012, has played in just one game so far this term – and that was for only 14 minutes.

Quagliarella would be an attractive target for the Diavolo seeing as the former Napoli player would also be eligible to play in the Champions League.

It does remain to be seen whether Juve would release him to a title rival though, especially as the club will try to get rid of Amauri, Vincenzo Iaquinta and Luca Toni during the winter window.
