The Belgian starlet’s representative has publicly denied claims that the forward will be swapping clubs in the transfer window, amidst speculation of a transfer to the Rossoneri.
Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku will not be moving clubs during the January transfer window, according to his agent.
The 18-year-old has found chances hard to come by at Stamford Bridge since his move from Anderlecht in the summer, due to the level of competition in Andre Villas-Boas’ side.
The sparkling start to the season from Daniel Sturridge, improved form of Fernando Torres and return from injury of Didier Drogba are all contributing to keeping the Belgian out of the starting line-up.
This has led to speculation that the towering striker may seek to engineer a move away from west London in search of more first team opportunities, with Milan being amongst the clubs rumoured to be targeting the player.
However, the youngster’s agent, Roger Henrotay, has denied any suggestion that he will be making a move in January.
“His future is clear. He will not move in January, he will definitely stay in London,” he told Calciomercato.it.
“The rumours about Malaga and Stoke City? No, I repeat, Romelu will stay at Chelsea where he is very happy and he will not change jerseys.
“I’m sorry but there is no possibility of him moving to the Rossoneri.”
Lukaku will be hoping that the suspension of Drogba for his red card against QPR and the recent poor form of the Blues may see Villas-Boas looking to make some stark changes to his side for their trip to Blackburn on Saturday.
