Milan to use Ibra to lure the Mali player of the year…
Milan’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic is working on Barcelona midfielder Seydou Keita about a move to Milan.
The Mali international has talked up the prospect of joining Liverpool in 2012, but Milan are also in the frame and using his friendship with Ibra to convince him to choose Italy over England.
Ibra speaks regularly to Keita on the phone, says El Mundo Deportivo, and often talks up the prospect of the pair of them playing for the Rossoneri.
Keita can leave Barca as a free agent in June should he fail to play at least half of their games thanks to a clause in his deal.
Milan want to sign the midfielder, as Mark van Bommel and Rino Gattuso both set to leave in the summer.
Few days ago, the Spanish media claimed that Milan have struck a deal to sign Barcelona’s Keita next season.
He is tied to the Blaugrana until June 2014, but it’s reported he has a clause in his contract allowing him to walk away two years early.
The clause is activated if the 31-year-old is not given a minimum number of appearances during the campaign.
According to Sport.es, Milan CEO has already reached a verbal agreement with the player’s entourage for next season.
This would mean bringing Keita to Milan on a free transfer in June.
