Ghanaian Sulley Muntari’s Champions League Delight With Milan Move

Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari is set to be handed playing time in the Champions League after switching to Milan.

Muntari crossed from rival Milan side Inter who did not register him for the competition before the start of the season because of a reported move to Turkish side Fenerbahce in the summer.

He will provide much needed midfield cover for the Rossoneri after Alexander Merkel joined Mathieu Flamini, Gennaro Gattuso and Alberto Aquilani on the sidelines.

“I want to do great things and win the Scudetto.

“I can’t wait to come to Milan”, Muntari said regarding his move.

The 27-year-old made four appearances at Inter and could be revived by his former rival club.

The new development will certainly boost Muntari’s international fortunes.

He has struggled to keep up with the tempo in the two-games he has played for the Black Stars at the 2012 Nations Cup – a deficiency linked to his lack of first team action at his club.

  1. Allegri wanted him and I know that hire free agents is the new policy for Galliani to save some money to invest in one or two players, but Muntari… No further comment.

    • Haha.. I understand how do you feel about this transfer.. But as you always say to me, I look at the bright sight and I really do have the faith. I believe Muntari can return to his recognizable play.. if so, at least we can prove Inter that they’re having the wrong thought about players. Why not? Lets show them who is the best 😀

  2. BTW: L. Roggia, as you predicted, was sent to the Primavera squad.

And my summer wishlist for the reinforcement campaign is ready: Benaglio (Wolfsburg/Switzerland/keeper), Dedé (C.R. Vasco da Gama/Brazil/defender), Natali (Fiorentina/defender/free agent), Taiwo (QPR), De Rossi (A.S. Roma/Italy/midfielder/free agent), Montolivo (Fiorentina/Italy/midfielder/free agent), Grenier (O. Lyonnais/France U-23/midfielder), Shinji Kagawa (B. Dortmund/Japan/midfielder/ a free agent in 2013) and Giuseppe Rossi (Villarreal/Italy/forward).

12 players out (Roma, Nesta, Bonera, Zambrotta, Antoninni, Ambro, Van Bommel, Gattuso, Seedorf, Flamini, Inzaghi and Pato), 8 in.

    • Awesome list. I agree with probably all the options.
      Anyway, here’s mine:
      GK- Mihaylov/Demirel
DF- Bocchetti, Dawson, F. Pisano, Taiwo/Didac
      MF- J. Garcia/Cheyrou, Barnetta, Feilhaber, Kaka/Lucas
      CF- Cardozo/Legear, Callejon/Rodrigo (Benfica)
