Milan’s CEO Adriano Galliani: Arsenal’s Robin Van Persie Is A Fantastic Player + PHOTO OF THE DAY

The Rossoneri vice-president stated his admiration for the Dutchman, which may be an important clue for a potential arrival…

Milan’s vice-president had words of praise for Arsenal’s van Persie after Milan’s tremendous win against the Englishmen.

“Perhaps the victory was facilitated somewhat by the inferiority of Arsenal, but I saw a fantastic player for Arsenal in Robin van Persie, who I like very much and forced [Christian] Abbiati into making two decisive saves.

“I just like good football. I follow English football and Van Persie, I believe, is a fantastic player,” the supremo concluded.

Observing the fact that the Dutch striker’s contract with Arsenal expires next summer, this may be just a back-up plan to lure the player at the San Siro.

The Rossoneri cast aside their north London counterparts in prolific fashion, with the Gunners already being written off ahead of the second-leg; the club executive thinks the victory was even more memorable when taking into account their lengthy list of names on the treatment table.

“4-0 is a good result, but we could have scored even more,” Galliani told Sky Sport Italia. “It was a perfect game, but we knew that we were still recovering from several injuries.”

  1. Robin van Persie is really a great player and will enter his lat year of contract next season… so Wenger will have to renew it or sell him.

I saw him playing for Feyenoord about 10 years ago and he always impressed me. He is injury prone, but a great talent.

Carnival time over here. National holiday from Monday until next Wednesday. I’ll be back if I survive – big if in tis case. 😛
