Milan have announced midfielder Clarence Seedorf and defender Philippe Mexes will miss Cesena due to injuries.
The 35-year-old was forced off just 12 minutes into the 4-0 win over the Londoners at the San Siro, and subsequent scans have revealed a minor muscle strain.
However, according to Milan’s official website, it could be another week before the full extent of the damage is established.
The Dutchman will miss Sunday’s trip to Cesena after he has been ruled out of action for a month.
Meanwhile, Philippe Mexes is a doubt for the game against Cesena after the Milan stopper limped out of training.
The summer signing from Roma quit today’s session early and Sky Sport Italia are reporting that he may have sprained his ankle.
Mexes, 29, is starting to feature more and more for the Rossoneri after recovering from knee ligament damage he sustained in April.
