Fiorentina’s Montolivo looks set to join the defending Italian champions…
Fiorentina look resigned to losing Ricardo Montolivo for nothing this summer with reports suggesting the midfielder has already agree to join Milan in the summer.
The Italy international has been with the Viola for seven years but since breaking off contract negotiations with the club at the end of last year, his exit from the Stadio Artemio Franchi had been expected.
The 27-year old has been linked with a host of clubs in recent months with Serie A big-guns Inter Milan, Juventus and Roma said to be interested in his services, along with German giants Bayern Munich and English Premier League champions Manchester United.
However, according to Florence-based radio station Lady Radio, Montolivo has already finalized a €2.5million-a-season, four-year deal with Milan, with an option of extending his stay at the San Siro for another year.
Last week, Montolivo confirmed he will be leaving Fiorentina at the end of the season, but denied receiving any offer from the Rossoneri.
“At the end of the season I will very likely leave Florence, albeit with great disappointment,” Montolivo said. “There has not been any offer from Milan, so I don’t know what my future will be.”
