Aquilani to make his Milan move permanent…
Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani is set to make his loan move from Anfield to Milan permanent, according to the Italian’s agent.
The 27-year-old is in the midst of a season-long loan at the San Siro and the midfielder’s agent, Franco Zavaglia, claims that just three more appearances for Milan will see the player sign for the Serie A giants.
Quoted by the Daily Mail, Zavaglia said: “As it was agreed, a permanent deal will automatically be struck once he makes 25 appearances.
“I do not think that Milan will pass up on Aquilani. There is no problem about this, a permanent deal is something we all expect.”
Aquilani, who joined Liverpool in 2009 for €25 million from Roma, has played 22 times for Milan this season with 16 appearances in the league and six in Europe.
Former Reds boss Rafa Benitez brought Aquilani to Merseyside but an injury-troubled first season in England was followed by loan spells at Juventus and Milan following the respective appointments of Roy Hodgson and Kenny Dalglish.
