Milan’s CEO has reportedly rejected a massive bid by the Citizens…
Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini met Milan’s Adriano Galliani at the Rossoneri’s headquarters earlier today.
The tactician spent about 30 minutes talking to the official in Via Turati, a meeting which fuelled transfer whispers surrounding Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva and Kevin-Prince Boateng.
“It was just a friendly meeting to say hello,” the Sampdoria legend told Sky Sport Italia as he left the building. However, as the latest reports emerge, the visit seems to have been with a transfer plan, as Mancini has requested information about Milan defender Thiago Silva.
According to MilanNews.it, the Italian boss put an offer on the table – €20 million + Mario Balotelli. CEO Galliani rejected the offer right away, notifying that he would only accept to sell the Brazilian jewel if €50 million + striker Balotelli + left back Kolarov on loan bid comes.
Premiership winners City have been paired with a move for Swedish international Zlatan Ibrahimovic striker over the past few weeks, but coach Mancini denied having any intention to bid for the ace: “Ibrahimovic? He is a great champion, but all of the Milan fans can stay calm…” The pair spent two years together at Inter after Mancini signed Ibrahimovic in 2006.
Also according to Football Top 24, Mancini was also interested in Milan’s Ghanaian star Kevin-Prince Boateng.
There are also suggestions that Milan made enquiries about City strikers Mario Balotelli and Carlos Tevez.
