Novara’s midfielder has agreed personal terms with Milan, but it’s all up to Flamini now…
According to caclciomercato.com, the meeting between Milan leadership and Marco Rigoni has been positive, as the midfielder has agreed personal terms with the former Italian champions.
Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri’s favorite is Rigoni, reportedly. If the deal goes through, Novara will get few of Milan’s primavera players or the ones who play in Serie B.
However, his arrival depends on Mathieu Flamini’s renewal situation.
Milan are closing on agreeing a fresh contract with Flamini which would save the club cash. The French midfielder is out of contract in the summer and, on wages of €4 million per year, was expected to be released.
However, the 28-year-old, who signed for the Italian outfit from Arsenal in 2008 on a free transfer, is thought prepared to accept a new contract on half his present amount.
In that case, Milan will drop their interest in Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani.
