Deal is likely to go through, however even without giving Ibrahimovic in exchange…
Milan is reportedly negotiating the return of Brazilian star Kaka to the San Siro in a deal that could reunite striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic with Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid.
The Rossoneri has sought talks with Kaka’s representatives this week in a bid to rescind the 30-year-old’s contract at the Bernabeu, reported Xinhua.
“Kaka is ready to break away from Real Madrid and [is] negotiating to terminate his contract,” Football Italia reports. “This could also suit the Spaniards, who have three more years on the deal worth €11 million per season.”
The report said Milan president Silvio Berlusconi was willing to part ways with Ibrahimovic after blocking the transfer of Thiago Silva to Paris Saint-Germain last week.
It is understood Ibrahimovic is keen to be reunited with Mourinho, who he played under during Inter Milan’s Scudetto-winning 2008-09 season, in which the Swede was also the Serie A’s top scorer with 25 goals.
Milan CEO Adriano Gallaini & Real Madrid President Forentino Perez have both ruled out Kaka’s return at the San Siro, but selling Ibrahimovic to Madrid would fill Milan’s coffers with much-needed funds, and Kaka’s return would energize its concerned fanbase.
According to the latest reports, Brazilian’s ace return won’t depend on Ibrahimovic or Boateng, as he may arrive for free… and the Italian media suggest that Milan supporters want to see their former favorite player wearing Milan jersey once again.
