Milan On The Verge Of Signing Manchester City’s Midfielder Nigel De Jong

English reports claim that Milan have become the favorites for De Jong’s signature…

Milan are looking to make a move for Manchester City’s Netherlands international Nigel de Jong as they have leapfrogged rivals Inter in the race for player’s signature.

It is reported that the Dutch midfielder is constantly refusing to sign a new deal with the Premier League With only one year remaining on his contract, Inter have been linked to sign the 27-year-old

However, according to Goal, the wind is changing in the opposite direction as Inter are on the verge of signing Walter Gargano from Napoli, hence Milan, who are still seeking reinforcements, are reported to have closed the negotiations with their €8 million bid accepted by Manchester City.

Joining City from Hamburg back in 2009, De Jong is considered a surplus to requirements by the current City coach Roberto Mancini after losing his starting place to Gareth Barry.

    • Definitely agree.. Good breaking news though. Even though there is totally no truth in it – logically, it doesn’t make any sense. Milan don’t want to offer that amount fro Kaka and now their offer to City has been accepted?? 😀
