Legend and current defender have criticized former Milan striker Cassano for his attitude…
Daniele Bonera criticised former teammate Antonio Cassano for his attack on Milan after joining Inter. “That’s just what he’s like.”
The 30-year-old caused shock when he moved across San Siro in exchange for Giampaolo Pazzini plus €7 million. He also snapped at CEO Adriano Galliani in his presentation Press conference and declared he was unhappy with the Rossoneri.
“I didn’t like that he decided to speak out after he left, nor do I agree with what he said,” replied Bonera.
“That’s just what he’s like. On the field he gave us a big hand and the 2011 Scudetto also belongs to him. The club stood by him when he was ill, and that’s not to be sniffed at.”
Also, Milan legend Franco Baresi cast his eye over the current squad and told Antonio Cassano “it’d be better to talk less and play more.” The defender who won it all with Arrigo Sacchi’s side spoke to Milan Channel on this new campaign.
“I cannot comment on the choices made by other people, as one always has to know the situation from the inside. However, I can say that at times it’d be better to talk less and play more.”
Cassano suffered an ischemic stroke and required surgery to correct a congenital heart defect while he was at Milan, staying on the sidelines for five months.
