Carlo Mazzone: Former Barcelona Coach Pep Guardiola Ready To Return – At Milan!

The agent claims Guariola will coach Milan next season!

Former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola is ready to resume his career in Milan.

Sportmediaset says Guardiola made the revelation to close friend Carlo Mazzone, his former Brescia coach.

The Spanish tactician is currently enjoying a one-year sabbatical after leaving Barcelona at the end of last season, and the 41-year-old has been linked with a number of English and Italian clubs in the past few months.

“He’s ready to return to coach and wants to go to AC Milan (not Inter Milan),” Mazzone told Sussidiario.net. “Pep called me on the phone and told me he was coming to see me soon.

“Soon we’ll see him. As a tourist or a coach? Both.”

There have been rumors linking Pep to Inter, but while Andrea Stramaccioni is on shaky ground – it is Milan where he is expected to arrive as a replacement for Massimiliano Allegri. Mazzone’s comments come barely a month after former Barcelona attacker Bojan Krkic claimed that the former Barcelona coach and legend, as well, has set his sights on the Milan job.

There’s already talk of his assistant coach being sounded out – Roberto Baggio is the big rumor.

  1. At least for me, he is the only acceptable exception for Berlusconi’s slogan (Il Milan ai Milanisti). He is the best coach in world football nowadays.

    • Absolutely! First when Barca beat Milan, I got upset with all of them (I rarely do, but still when the bugs come to attack…) and started saying that Pep is a coach who’d be nothing without Barca’s squad. It is true, though, but at least he managed to find a perfect role for every single player in the squad, create a team… unlike our Allegri here.
Plus, Baggio as an assistant would be a dream come true 😀 Although, then I’d miss Tasotti….
