Continuing Vol. 1, and even many more will be posted in order to make the blog’s tradition come alive. For now we bring you all the transfer rumors regarding Milan in the recent days…
Ibra to return?
Few days ago we posted a statement of Thiago Silva’s agent claiming that the Brazilian defender may return to Milan in the future. Well, it seems that he may not be the only one. “Milan are a club that I could return to one day”, said their former ace Ibrahimovic at a press conference. “If Milan’s leaders need help, they know where to find me”, he added.
The powerful striker was sold by the Italian giants to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer as they embarked on a large drive to cut costs; Brazilian defender Thiago Silva was also sold by the Rossoneri to the wealthy French side.
The Arsenal GK and his lifetime Milan dream
Arsenal goalkeeper Vito Mannone has revealed that he wishes to one day return to Italy, but only after he has claimed the number one shirt at Arsenal as his own.
“It’s good at Arsenal, I want to be number one here” Mannone said to Corriere della Sera, as quoted on Talksport. “Then [I want to] return to Italy and play in Serie A, perhaps with Milan, my favorite team.”
The former Atalanta shot-stopper has had spells out on loan at Hull City and Barnsley in the past, having made just 11 appearances for the Gunners since his arrival in 2006.
Allegri to be sacked if…
Milan will seriously consider sacking boss Massimiliano Allegri should the side lose against Lazio when Serie A resumes. The club have continually backed the coach this season, but his future is again in doubt following the 1-0 derby loss to Inter.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, a reverse at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday, 20 October could see Allegri dismissed. If that is the case then the Italian giant would appoint assistant boss Mauro Tassotti on a caretaker basis until the end of the season.
Guardiola option more realistic than ever
Pep Guardiola to Milan talk seems to get legs, after Pep’s wife Cristina Serra has reportedly chosen Milan as his next destination.
As reported, a four-year contract is on the table which would pay Guardiola €6 million a season to try and bring Milan back to glory in Italy and on the European scene.
Update: Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Milan’s CEO Adriano Galliani will travel to New York personally in order to convince the former Barca man to come to Italy. “Go and convince him”, is what Berlsuconi reportedly told Milan vice-president.
Robinho out, Anderson in
Milan are shopping in Brazil for a new midfield signing in January. Santos talent Felipe Anderson has been mentioned in a possible swap for striker Robinho.
The 19-year-old playmaker, has been likened to latest Real Madrid arrival Luka Modric.
