Two two clubs have finally linked-up after several months of negotiations…
Milan have struck a partnership agreement with Chinese powerhouse Guangzhou Evergrande. Milan’s CEO Adriano Galliani has reportedly met with Guangzhou’s president Liu Jong Zhuo this morning to sign a deal between the clubs.
Milan are set to release a statement on this,” Davide Lippi, the son of the club’s coach Marcello Lippi, who has also been involved in negotiations recently told Sky Sport Italia.
“Guangzhou Evergrande are an important figure on the Chinese stage and Milan want to collaborate with them.”
Now the Italian giant have confirmed the news via their official website, saying: “The commercial partnership between the two clubs was signed and sealed with a handshake and smiles all around. Galliani gifted the Chinese president a shirt with 8-Liu printed on the back.”
The deal could will also see sides set up youth football programs together as Milan attempt to make their links with China as strong as ever. However, it is reported that Guangzhou are even set to offload a player to their new partner that just startled the media guessing who it might be.
Former Partizan’s striker Cleo is though to be the main target, followed by former Borussia Dortmund’s ace Lucas Barrios and one of the world’s most paid players, 29-year-old midfielder Dario Conca.
