Corinthians Make €15 Million Bid For Milan’s Alexandre Pato

FIFA Club World Cup champions are lining up Pato move…

Brazilian club Corinthians have made a €15 million bid for Milan forward Alexandre Pato, according to reports in the Italian media.

Sky Sport Italia have claimed that the recently crowned World Club champions have made a substantial bid for the Brazilian striker.

Corinthians president Duilio Monteiro Alves has admitted that the 23-year-old is the number one player on his wish list.

“For us, of course, he is a dream signing,” Alves told Lancenet following the 1-0 victory over Chelsea.

The 23-year-old ace has been blighted by injures since his move to the San Siro from Internacional in 2007, with the Milanese giants hoping to loan out the young attacker rather than sell him outright.

    • I definitely agree with the fact that he should be loaned out instead of sold. However, you see, there’s a problem is our theory: If Milan oflload Pato, then they won’t get neither half of the desired money. Only if Pato/Robinho leave the club on a permanent basis, Milan will get the money and will be able to sign Balotelli for real.
Time will tell how things will turn out in the end.
Anyway, thanks for sharing your opinion, Daniel… stay connected! 🙂

  1. 11 out of 10 football pundits here believe this deal is done. And they also say that Robinho is just a question of time to return. It’s going to happen next month or July.

Regarding Pato, they say Corinthians will sell Guerrero to Atletico Madrid – Falcão Garcia to Chelsea? – and invest the money buying Pato.

    • Hm.. Don’t know what to believe in these days. The latest reports say that Corinthians have abandoned Pato talks due to €30 million PSG offer (later declined).
Whay I also don’t know is what of the following is worse? Letting go of Pato, letting go of Robinho or letting go of both at the same time… ? :/

  2. I watched Berlusconi, before Roma vs. Milan, and Galliani, after the match, interviews yesterday and they openly talked about the market. Berlusca ruled Balo and Drogba and stressed that a young forward will arrive. At that moment another statement crossed my mind – “A new forward will arrive only if Pato and Robinho leave the club”, by Mr. Galliani.

Now you have to fill in the blanks…If I had to bet, I’d put all my money in Pato coming to Corinthians and Robinho to Flamengo. Mr. Galliani will probably return with € 30 million to Milan.

    • €30 million? We could be able to by a (young) top-class players with that money… if only “the bald guy” – Galliani and “the womanizer” – Berlo decide not to keep the money in the pockets.
