Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato has officially moved to Corinthians on a €15 million transfer from Milan, the Club World Cup champions have confirmed on their official website.
However, if any comfort Milan have inserted a return clause, leaving the doors open for Pato to rejoin the Rossoneri after only two seasons.
Pato had made it clear he wanted a return to Brazil this month and negotiations were finalized with Milan’s CEO Adriano Galliani this evening.
“Over the next few days Pato will undergo medical tests and sign the four-year contract. Corinthians have bought 100% of the economic rights of Pato for €15 million.”
The statement also confirmed in future sales, Corinthians are to gain 60% of the rights and Pato would get 40%.
The former Internacional youngster has decided to take the No. 7 jersey on his back, the one that he used to wear last season.
