Former Real Madrid and Manchester City star will not go for his third spell outside of Europe…
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzo revealed that Robinho is set to stay at Milan, as former side Santos and the Serie A club haven’t managed to reach an agreement on the sale.
Santos have reportedly abandoned the negotiations as a result of Milan’s high demands. The Brazilian giant were keen to land Robinho, offering €7 million, but the Rossoneri have reportedly asked for a €10 million fee.
With this unexpected U-turn, Robinho will stay at Milan and automatically block a possible January striker signing.
It has also been reported that another Brazilian side that had shown an interest in purchasing Robinho, Atletico Mineiro, had now called off talks. Citing Brazilian newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo, it said Atletico could not meet Milan’s €10 million asking price nor midfielder’s wage demands.
However, even though Sky Sports has said that Milan’s CEO Adriano Galliani and super agent Mino Raiola have returned to Italy, La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that Santos have now made a final €9 million offer.
