TRANSFER ROUND-UP: Vol. 6

Check out the latest Milan transfer news and rumors!

Updating Vol. 5, and even many more will be posted in order to make the blog’s tradition come alive. For now we bring you all the transfer rumors regarding Milan in the recent days…

Ramirez move depends on passport… or not?

Reports in Italy suggest that the Rossoneri had been monitoring the Uruguayan’s development before he made the move to the South coast but after seeing how he has adapted to the Premier League they are set to launch a bid for him.

Milan’s president Silvio Berlusconi this week admitted that the club were monitoring three youngsters, one who plays in Italy and two who are abroad. Ramirez is thought to be one of those, but the Italian giants cannot sign another non-EU player before the summer as they have already filled their quota, so any January bid hangs on the player somehow coming up with a new passport.

Howevever, Milan’s CEO Adriano Galliani Adriano Galliani slammed the door on the 22-year-old.

“There’s no need for Ramirez, we are fine as we are,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “If someone leaves then we’ll see, but there are no “gifts” on the horizon for the fans.”

Nene in Milan link

Paris Saint-Germain forward Nene has claimed that he is interested in a move to Milan. The 31-year-old recently admitted that he was keen on a move back to his native Brazil with Santos.

However, Nene has now revealed that he has a number of options to consider as he leaves the French capital.

“Milan? I’m interested and Santos also,” he told 10Sport. “There are also several teams in Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, China. I think it will be settled in the next few days.”

No Milan move for Destro and Stekelenburg

Roma have responded negatively to Milan’s reported attempts to sign Mattia Destro and Maarten Stekelenburg.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri are keen on netting the young striker and the Dutch international ‘keeper this month.  Milan are said to have offered €15 million for the Italian international who only joined the Giallorossi in the summer.

They also asked the capital club to consider a swap deal which would see Marco Amelia head to Rome in exchange for the former Ajax custodian. Roma don’t want to sell Destro, while they are looking to cash in on Stekelenburg after he lost his place in Zdenek Zeman’s first team plans.

In the meantime, Marco Amelia’s agent Carlo Pallavicino has revealed that the Rome-born goalkeeper would like to re-join former side Roma.

Milan join Inter in Lodi race

Milan are showing an interest in Catania midfielder Francesco Lodi, according to SportMediaset.

It has been reported that the Milanese outfit are interested in bringing the 28-year-old to San Siro, but may have to fight off advances from city rivals Inter.

Club’s CEO Gallini spoke with the player’s agent on Thursday, with the intention of trying to persuade the set-piece specialist to choose the Diavolo over the Nerazzurri. Catania meanwhile have tried to shrug off those claims, with reports suggesting that they will only sell in the summer, not January.

Zaccardo-Mesbah exchange possible

Cristian Zaccardo’s agent Alessandro Moggi, who was spotted at Via Turari earlier has admitted to be in talks with Milan over possible move for the Parma 31-year-old captain.

“I did speak with Milan’s Galliani, as the negotiation is at its very beginning”, he told SportMediaset.

As for Djamel Mesbah, Italian transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla claims that the Algeria international has already reached an initial  agreement with Parma and may leave Milan soon. Further developments are awaited on the exchange…

Prandeli to replace Allegri?

Milan could be lining up a sensational move for Italian national team boss Cesare Prandelli, Italian reports claim.

Ilsussidiario.net believe that the Azzurri Coach would be the ideal candidate to replace Massimiliano Allegri, who looks set to leave San Siro either at the end of this season, or in 2014. The Milanese giants could look to bring in the 55-year-old tactician, who has a contract with Italy until the 2014 World Cup.

AS far as Allegri is concerned, Gianluca Di Marzio has said that the former Cagliari could could take a job either at Napoli or Roma after his Milan adventure comes to an end.
