Milan’s CEO Adriano Galliani: No To Balotelli, Yes To Kaka

Galliani “optimistic” on Kaka talks…

No Milan move for Balotelli, as Galliani has insisted on hoping to sign former jewel Kaka this month.

La Gazzetta dello Sport earlier suggested that both players were immediate targets, as Kaka was president Silvio Berlusconi’s wish and Manchester City’s troubled striker Mario Balotelli, Galliani’s.

“There is just one negotiation taking place and that is for Kaka,” he stated on Friday morning. “The numbers are difficult for him but we will give it a go.

“All three parties have to work well and the desire is there. Kaka wants to come, we want to sign him and Real want to sell – but we all have problems when it comes to balancing the books. There is a wages wall in Italy that you can’t get over now – we’ll have to find an imaginative solution.”

The Brazilian had a golden six-year spell at Milan, helping them to Serie A and Champions League titles and becoming a global star.

“Our love for Kaka has never ended, it was never interrupted,” Galliani added. “We were forced to sell him for financial reasons. We will see what we will manage to do now.”

Mancester City’s Balotelli has also been a long-time target for the Italian giants, but club’s CEO has denied making any contact.

“There are no talks with Manchester City for Balotelli. He’s impossible. We asked, but we ran away after hearing their asking price.”

It has recently been reported that Manchester City would only be willing to accept an offer of €30 million for the Italy international.

UPDATE 18:00 – According to SportMediaset, Real Madrid have accepted Milan’s offer for Kaka. 18-month loan with an option to buy.

UPDATE 13:30 – Kaka’s brother Digao may also make a glamorous Milan return, as reports. The two brothers could this way play together once again and be close to each other.

Digao has so far never been mentioned to be part of the negotiations, but it has been reported that a defender of his caliber could be useful to Milan, taking in account the numerous problems in the back-line.

UPDATE 13:25 (CET) – According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Galliani is set to travel to Madrid on Tuesday to finalize the Kaka deal.

    • Why not? Altidore is an excellent striker but has had no luck in finding the ideal destination to show skills. I just hope that our officials will take a look at him one day…
Anyway, thanks for sharing your opinion buddy! 🙂 Regards
