DOCUMENTARY: Me, Myself & Martin Laursen

Take an exclusive look at the trailer of the documentary regarding Milan’s former defender!

Anyone with an interest in football has looked at Martin Laursen and thought, “If he can do it, then I can too.” But they couldn’t. Watch this movie about the difference between Martin and all the unresolved talents.

The older fans certainly do know who Laursen is, but the new generation might even not be familiar with the fact that he used to be a Milan player once upon a time. The Danish star was award a loan to the Italian giants in 2001, at the age of 23. Having a dream start and hence shining in the Milan jersey brought him a permanent move for a sum of €11 million.

However, the “fairy tale” came to an unexpected end when Alessandro Nesta and later Jaap Stam signed for Milan, leaving no space for Laursen. In 2004, he was reluctantly forced to leave for English side Aston Vila, where he has eventually retired five years later.

These days the former Denmark international, who has had 53 appearances and scored two goals for the national side, has been sitting around at home… Until, Anthony Tullberg showed up!

Ok, now who is Anthony Tullberg? Well, I haven’t exactly had the opportunity to meet him, but as far as I know he is former football player, who, at least according to him – should have been far famous than was the case. He had reached the second division and had played in front of 1000 people, unlike Laursen.

The short trailer can be seen above, but in fact it’s a star-studded cast that includes few former Milan players, of which: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Andriy Shevchenko, Paolo Maldini, Gennaro Gattuso and Andrea Pirlo.  Olof Mellberg, Morten Olsen, Johan Elmander and Michael Laudrup have also been included. To buy or rent the entire documentary movie, go to www.martinlaursenmovie.com.
