Long-time target back on track…
Milan are keeping close tabs on Zenit full-back Domenico Criscito, Russian newspaper Izvestia has revealed.
The Rossoneri are currently short of options on the left flank, which has seen midfielder Kevin Constant and right-back Mattia De Sciglio deployed as left-backs this season. It is for that reason that boss Massimiliano Allegri is eager to sign a high-profile left-back in the summer transfer window and has reportedly set his sights on Zenit defender Domenico Criscito.
The Italy international joined the Russian giants in a €15 million move from Genoa and quickly became a key player in Luciano Spalletti’s squad. He is currently happy to remain in Russia, although recent reports are suggesting he would consider a return to Italian
Serie A at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Itasportpress reports that Nice’s goalkeeper David Ospina has also attracted the interest of Milan.
The 24-year-old Colombian international began his career with Atletico Nacional at the age of 17 before transferring to Nice in 2008. Since then, the native Antioquian has made more than 150 appearances for the French team.
He is now free to leave, as his contract is set to expire in June 2013.
The rising star has often been compared to legendary Colombian goalkeeper Oscar Cordoba.
