Star of the Viareggio Cup now on the radar…
Milan are interested in signing Anderlecht’s 16-year-old midfielder Nabil Jaadi, as Calciomercato reports.
Jaadi, who grew up modelling on Andrea Pirlo and Andres Iniesta, is considered as a rising star in European football and a wunderkind coming from Anderlecht’s youth ranks. The talented ace signed a professional three-year contract with Anderlecht in June 2012. Even this young, he is though to resemble Belgium’s international Nacer Chadli.
After starring in Milan win at the end of February, he attracted the interest of several English and Italian clubs, including the opponent side, Milan themselves. He was the youngest player on the field the time, but that didn’t stop him from exploiting a misunderstanding in the defence to terminate any hope of making a result U-turn.
Belgium train didn’t stop in Italy, though. Instead it wen’t off to conquer the Netherlands – successfully. Guess who was the star of the AEGON Future Cup, an U-17 international tournament organized by Ajax? If Jaadi crossed your mind, then you guessed it right!
Having scored twice in the tournament, twice for couple of the Belgium junior national teams and trained with the first team on numerous occasions, brought him the chance to play for the Moroccan U-17 national team.
Milan, who seem to follow Barcelona’s footsteps, would certainly need a player of this caliber to team up with the rest of the youth potential.
