Jherson Vergara to arrive
Milan have already reached an agreement with Universitario de Popayan over Jherson Vergara Amu, who is expected to join the team in early June.
Affari Italiani believes that the Serie A side have snapped up Vergara in a bargain deal worth €2 million.
The less-known Colombian outfit have been in a serious economic crisis for a while and it is believed that selling one of the greatest talents in the squad could be a blessing from heaven.
Vergara, 18, is a well constructed central defender and air play is considered as his specialty.
OFFICIAL: Dede snubs Milan; joins Cruzeiro
Highly-rated Brazilian defender Dede is to remain in his homeland after Cruzeiro agreed a deal to snap up the 24-year-old from Vasco da Gama.
Milan was strongly linked with bidding for Dede, while Vasco da Gama’s president admitted that the defender was being chased by numerous sides. But it is in Brazil where Dede is staying.
“Cruzeiro and Vasco da Gama concluded, this Wednesday, 17 April 2013, negotiations involving defender Dede”, Cruzeiro announced in a statement.
The 24-year-old has won seven caps at international level for Brazil and was even earlier close to joining the Italian giants.
Allegri to leave, Prandelli to replace him in 2014?
Milan may hire Italy coach Cesare Prandelli following the 2014 World Cup, claims SportMediaset.
The tactician’s contract with the FIGC runs out in July 2014, straight after the tournament in Brazil. Prandelli has hinted he could walk away from the job at that time, as it would be the end of his four-year tenure.
In fact everything fits, as Massimiliano Allegri’s contract is set to expire in 2014 as well. Serie A sides Roma and Napoli are thought to be interested in appointing the former Cagliari boss.
Boateng to make Manchester City switch?
Manchester City are reportedly preparing a summer move for Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng.
The 26-year-old, who has previously played in the Premier League for Portsmouth and Tottenham Hotspur, impressed for the Serie A club the previous term, but has been in disappointing form ever since the beginning of this season.
However, according to talkSPORT, the midfielder’s performance against Barcelona in the Champions League caught the eye of City boss Roberto Mancini, who is preparing to overhaul his squad in the summer.
The Ghanaian, who has only one year remaining on his current deal at Milan, recently took rappers Booba, Club Dogo and Emis Killa on a tour of the San Siro ahead of this weekend’s big clash against Juventus.
Newcastle goalkeeper afresh on the radar
Milan are lining up a summer €15 million swoop for Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul.
According to Daily Mirror, the San Siro giants have been tracking the 25-year-old the entire season and want him to become their new No.1.
He has been ruled out for the rest of the season after dislocating his shoulder against Sunderland at the weekend but that has not dampened Milan’s interest.
The Italian side, currently third in Serie A, are keeping a close eye on Newcastle’s league form and think they will have a better chance of landing Krul if Alan Pardew’s side are unexpectedly relegated. However, with Newcastle almost safe, it has been reported that Milan will still press ahead with a summer move for Krul, who is under contract until 2017.
Zaza talks have just begun
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Milan have opened talks to sign Sampdoria’s striker Simone Zaza.
The 21-year-old has largely impressed while on loan at Ascoli, and in turn caught the eye of some of Italy’s top clubs. With the player’s contract at Marassi set to expire in June 2014, he could be available at a cut-price fee in the summer transfer window.
According to GdS, the Italian giants have contacted Zaza’s agent Christian Maifredi with a view of making a summer bid for the talented forward.
Simone Zaza, who has scored 18 goals in 30 Serie B matches for Ascoli, is expected to arrive at San Siro if at least one of Robinho and Bojan Krkic leave the club in the summer transfer window.
Fallen transfers to be revived?
Serie A side, Milan is expected to lure Napoli’s Blerim Dzemaili and Genoa’s Juraj Kucka as soon as the transfer window re-open. Calciomercato.com has a reason to believe that the broken January negotiations are set to continue in the summer.
Representatives of both clubs and player discussed the transfer at Sunday’s 1-1 draw between the two sides at the San Siro.
In January a deal for the 27-year-old was practically complete, only for the refusal of Naples-born Antonio Nocerino to move in the opposite direction forced the two clubs to cancel the deal.
Meanwhile, it is almost certain that Genoa’s Juraj Kucka is finally going to join Milan, as they look to bolster their midfield. The same named source says that an offer will be made for him in June especially as Massimiliano Allegri is a big fan of the player and would like to have him in the roster.
Il Gazzetta dello Sport expects Christian Abbiati and Massimo Ambrosini to sign new contracts. Whilst, Antionio Nocerino, Bojan Krkic and Mario Yepes are set to leave Milan after the season. Yepes’ compatriot Cristian Zapata is probably expected to stay with €5 million going on Villarreal’s account. Nocerino might be the key to get Napoli’s Gokhan Inler, according to the latest reports.
Also, GdS has revealed that the seven-time Champions League winner is hoping to be tabled in a new improved €9 million Robino bid by Santos. Moreover, Mathieu Flamini’s future is still up in the air.
On of the greatest rising-star goalkeepers in Serie B, Ternana’s Alberto Brignoli would jump into Milan chance if gets one. “If there is a chance to join Milan, I would lie if say that such thing isn’t a dream come true.” In addition, his agent, Polo Dattola has confirmed this, although revealed that no contact has been made so far.
Speaking of agents, Vlad Chiriches’ representative, Victor Becali has revealed the Italian strong interest in this season’s Steaua star. “Milan have been following him for a long period of time, but we haven’t received an official offer yet.”
