Out-of-contract midfielder is on the verge of putting an end to the long chapter…
Milan’s midfielder Massimo Ambrosini could be playing in the Premier League next season, as reports suggest that he is currently in London, England to discuss this matter.
Ambrosini is out-of-contract at the San Siro at the end of the season, and was expected to retire after almost two decades with the Italian giant. However, bucking the seemingly common recent trend, the 35-year-old could opt to extend his playing days in the Premier League, Bundesliga or MLS.
West Ham have been the first ones to express intentions to bring him to Upton Park, with Sam Allardyce keen on utilising the Italian’s experience in the game.
“There is interest from West Ham and it’s a real interest, like that of other English, German and American teams, although there have not been concrete contacts,” Ambrosini’s agent Moreno Roggi told Sky Sports couple of days ago. Now it seams that the English side have stepped up the interest and opened talks with the Milan captain.
The former Italian international made 23 appearances this season in Serie A and the Champions League this season.
In the meantime, there are reports that defender Daniele Bonera has accepted a three-year contract from Juventus. Milan were only willing to offer him a one-year contract.
