Allegri to rescind contract on Thursday?
Vast questions, vast doubts, numerous puzzles to be solved – but nobody courageous enough to go for it.
Serie A side, Roma may prove to be brave by pulling the first move so as to lure Milan’s coach Massimiliano Allegri. Thursday was the day when the higher Milan staff had set up a decisive meeting. Instead, it may turn out to be the highly expected D-Day.
Silvio Berlusconi has already rescheduled the meeting twice and in fact, it seems that it is never going to happen.
Sky‘s journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported that Roma’s sporting director Walter Sabatini is going to travel to Milan on Thursday in efforts to convince the former Cagliari boss to join Roma. It is also believed that Allegri is set to have his contract with Milan terminated by mutual consent, leaving him free to sign for the Giallorossi.
The Rome-based side have tabled Allegri a two-year deal worth €3 million-a-season plus €500,000 in bonuses.
In addition, club’s president Berlusconi is set to officially reveal, his favorite, Clarence Seedorf as a Rossoneri coach as early as on Monday. As we have reported it the previous days, an agreement has already been reached, now it all comes down to the outcome of Roma talks.
The 37-year-old veteran, who had recently re-opened his villa in Milan, is apprehended to sign a two-year contract for €1.5 million per year.
