Finally some transfer talk involving defenders…
Milan have been offered Uruguay experienced captain, Diego Lugano, according to Goal.
The 32-year-old defender, who spent the last six months on loan at Malaga, is now set to return at the Parc de Princes. However, new PSG boss Laurent Blanc could be willing to let Lugano go, as he doesn’t seem to fit in the picture perfect for the new term.
Reports in Italy now claim that his services have been proposed to Serie A giant Milan, but eventually witnessed a closed door. In fact, Milan would be willing to reinforce the defence with some fresh blood, as Liverpool’s flop Sebastian Coates has entered the orbit.
Luagno’s compatriot, who was often linked with Milan in the past, joined Liverpool from Nacional in 2011, but has failed to make an impact ever since. Parliamodicalcio.it reports that the Reds are set to sell the 22-year-old flop for a bargain price of around €4 million.
However, the fact that he doesn’t own a EU passport seems to be the main obstacle.
Speaking of the back line, it is believed that the Rossoneri are eyeing another Liverpool flop, Gabriel Paletta. The Parma stopper is under consideration as an alternative to Cagliari’s Davide Astori. Mediaset says an offer for Paletta is being prepared.
Also as far as the side defenders are concerned, former youth product Luca Antonelli and Lazio’s Senad Lulic are still being closely monitored.
