The Brazilian is set to stick with Milan…
Sky reports that Santos have stopped negotiations with Milan over former star Robinho due to financial issues.
The 29-year-old was expected to move back to Brazil for a sum of €6 million, but eventually take a pay-cut. However, a pretty surprising U-turn has happened and now he is set to renew his Milan contract or else he will be available to leave on a Bosman deal next summer.
CEO Adriano Galliani also confirmed that the talks have hit the roof. “The Brazilian club has decided not to sign Robinho. He will remain with us.”
Milan have recently lowered their price down for €3 million, but it seems that Robinho’s salary proved to be the real stumbling block.
Robinho, who has just posted an enough indicative photo on Instagram, scored just two goals in 23 Serie A appearances last season and found himself on the fringes of the side for much of the campaign.
