Only few hours after returning to action, striker Stephan El Shaarawy has been re-added to Milan’s injury worries after he picked up anther injury during Monday’s training session.
The “Pharaoh” was expected to start on Thursday evening against Ajax, but suspended the session due to a microfracture on his left foot.
Further tests shall be done so as to estimate the exact days of recovery, but it is clear that he is set to miss the Champions League tie as well as Sunday’s grand derby against rivals Juventus.
The 20-year-old Italian representative has only started one match this season, as he been out of action ever since his brief substitute cameo against Cagliari at the start of the month.
On the bright side, captain Riccardo Montolivo is believed to be fully fit and is expected to feature for his side at the Amsterdam Arena.
