For the third consecutive time!
Milan’s goalkeeper Gabriel has earned himself a spot in the starting XI against Lazio on Wednesday, as confirmed by coach Massimiliano Allegri.
The talented 21-year-old has managed to reach the end of the tunnel, after suffering a shoulder injury. He has so far put in highly praised performances against Caen and Udinese, whilst keeping a clean sheet in his Serie A debut.
“Gabriel is getting better and better. He is going to play from the start against Lazio tomorrow, alongside De Sciglio, Zaccardo and Zapata”, Allegri told Milan Channel.
“Gabriel is a a reliable youngster, who played well on Sunday. He is the one to play until Abbiati returns from injury.”
Milan are expected to continue using the 4-3-3 formation, with Kaka in the offensive line. The Italian media claim that he is certain to start, but “needs to get into the right condition to be able to play an entire match”, according to the boss.
The probable line-up:
Gabriel; Abate, Zaccardo, Zapata, De Sciglio; Montolivo, De Jong, Muntari; Birsa, Balotelli, Kaka.
