The Frenchman has emerged as a target…
Milan are weighing up a move for Arsenal’s right-back Bacary Saga, according to Sky Italia.
The 30-year-old French international has a contract expiring at the end of the season and is expected to leave the Emirates Stadium next summer for free.
A number of clubs, including French big-spenders PSG and Monaco, alongside Turkish sides Galatasary and Fenerbache, have already been alerted to Sagna’s pending availability and have shown significant interest. However, it seems that Serie A outfit Milan are leading the chase.
The news of the likely departure will not come as a surprise to the Arsenal, who have begun searching for his replacement. In the meantime, Milan are short of players on the side flanks with Ignazio Abate non-consistency and talented Maatia De Sciglio, who can’t pick his head up due to knee injuries.
Sagna joined Arsenal from Auxerre in 2007, and has made more than 250 appearances for the club in all competitions.
