The Serie A side has entered a bidding war…
Milan is the latest team to express an interest in Spain international Koke and has sounded the Atletico Madrid man out over a move to the San Siro.
The 21-year-old midfielder has blossomed this season, playing an integral part in Atletico’s impressive early-season form.
Is is believed that English sides Liverpool and Manchester United have set their eyes on the Madrid jewel, but according to Mundo Deportivo Milan have stepped into the race and are now considered to be in pole to sign the talented youngster.
The Rossoneri are desperate to land him next summer and have reportedly informed the player’s representatives that they would be prepared to offer Koke a long-term deal worth €4 million per each season. However, it is believed the Serie A giants would have problems meeting the midfielder’s €35 million release clause.
Moreover, the versatile, creative and technically gifted player moving to Italy would see him earn as much as Milan’s best player and fans’ favorite Kaka – a scenario highly unlikely to happen with Japanese star Keisuke Honda also joining the offensive line.
