Milan Make A Shock Move For Inter Want-Away Midfielder Sulley Muntari

Another Milan-Inter operation in anticipation of the Sunday’s derby…

Milan have made a shock move for Inter midfielder Sulley Muntari.

Off contract in the summer, Sky Italia says Milan have struck personal terms with the Ghana international about a Bosman move in June.

Muntari was played a bit part role in the Inter Milan set up which won the treble-Serie A, Coppa Italia and the Uefa Champions League-in 2010.

The 27-year-old has made only three appearances for the Nerazzurri this season and will be away in January at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Milan may even bring forward their plans to sign the Ghanaian this month, depending on how veteran Gennaro Gattuso’s recovery goes in the coming weeks.

    • Who knows… I agree with you, but we might do a good business here. Observing the fact that Gattuso’s definitely and literally finished, he may at least try to fulfill his absence. I think it’d be better for us to start looking for subs for players like Gattuso, Nesta, Zambrotta, Seedorf, Ambrosini, Pippo.. before it’s too late.

  1. I have no doubt that many “senators” – La Gazzetta just love this word to describe the veterans – will leave Milanello next (European) summer. Roma, Yepes, Zambrotta, Gattuso, Ambro, Seedorf, Van Bommel and Super Pippo probably won’t return for the next season. And so far I’m more than satisfied with the names Galliani and Braida are supposedly trying to hire (Natali and Monto, from Fiorentina, and Mesbah, from US Lecce).

I honestly agree with this policy due to the fact that hiring free agents we presumably will save money to invest in one or two big names (Khedira? Eriksen? M’Villa? Ganso? :-P). IMMO is better to invest in one Tévez than Matri, Borriello, Quagliarella etc.

But Muntari… Much better idea to promote Calvano or Innocenti from the Primavera squad.

And, last but not least, Allegri just extended his contract until 2014. Pato probably won’t like the news…

    • I hope you’re right.. Because they are saying this every single season, and in the end it turns out to be that they will stay… Yeah, so sorry for Pato. Now he’s a shadow to Robinho… who knows, everything depends on his games this month.

      • Look at the bright side: Allegri never had to call a (retired) player in the middle of the night begging him to return to action like Sir Alex Ferguson did last weekend.
