TRANSFER ROUND-UP: Vol. 7 (PART II)

Check out the latest Milan transfer news and rumors!

Updating Vol. 7, and even many more will be posted in order to make the blog’s tradition come alive. For now we bring you all the transfer rumors regarding Milan in the recent days…

Benzema to join Milan?

According to Sportitalia, Real Madrid star Karim Benzema could soon seal a Milan move.

Journalist Michele Criscitiello revealed a secret trinity chain between the Madrid side, PSG and Milan. It all begins with former Pescara talent Marco Verratti, who despite the strong interest from Fiorentina, is likely to team-up with Ancelotti at Real Madrid on a 5-year-deal with a salary of €4,5 million per season.

However, that is not the end. The famous Milan and Roma legend would also like to lure Sweden international Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who could sign a 3-year-deal with the Barcelona rivals – squeezing out French star Benzema.

If happens, Milan will easily come knocking on the door with a 3-year-deal and a salary of €3 million-€4 million per year.

Kaka/Modric to join on 2 September?

Real Madrid star Kaka could return to Milan during the last minutes of the transfer windows, FIFA agent Marco Mastrodonato has revealed.

President Florentina Perez told the press that Kaka would be staying put, after positive talks with new boss Carlo Ancelotti. However, it is a FIFA agent claiming that Ancelotti’s presence won’t guarantee the Brazilian not being squeezed out of the bolstered squad.

“Bringing Kaka back is a difficult task, but not an impossible one.

“Ancelotti has got to make a decision on him. If not a positive one, we might see him return on 2 September”, he told ilsussidiario.net.

In contrast, Eurosport reports that the Rossoneri could make a last-minute move for another Madrid ace, Luka Modric. The Croatian international is in coach’s plans but reports have emerged that Milan could persuade him to leave.

OFFICIAL: No Milan move for Civelli, as he joins Taiwo at Bursaspor

Bursaspor have confirmed the signing of Renato Civelli from Nice. The 29-year-old defender, who was previously linked with a Milan swoop, has joined the Turkish side on a two-year contract.

Civelli showed his versatility as he scored six goals for the side in all competitions last season, as they finished fourth in the French top flight, securing UEFA Europa League football in the process.

He has now teamed-up with former Milan flop Taye Taiwo.

P.S: Ibra would be like…

Milan to swap players with Parma and rivals Inter?

Two swap deals could happen this summer, with veteran Cristian Zaccardo and Antonio Nocerino the victims in the crime.

After joining Milan in January, the 31-year-old defender has struggled to get playing time and could now return to where he came from. The Milanese giant is set to table in a bid for striker Nicola Sansone and offer the veteran in exchange, so as not to end up empty-handed.

As far as midfielder Nocerino is concerned, he could soon swap dressing rooms, as new Inter boss Mazzari is very keen on luring him.

Il Gazzetta dello Sport suggest that the Milan sides may cooperate on another exchange, with Inter playmaker Ricky Alvarez included in the deal. Former Fiorentina player, Zdravko Kuzmanovic, who previously said some harsh words regarding he Rossoneri, is also being linked.

Atalanta closing in on Yepes

Atalanta president Antonio Percassi says they are ready to sign released veteran Mario Yepes. The 37 year-old has been allowed to come off contract by Milan.

“Yepes will join us,” said Percassi. “But we’re also looking at signing another player as well.”

In addition, Yepes’ agent revealed numerous bids, but the Colombian captain is set to make a decision.

“There are two other Italian clubs, as well as Atalanta, who would like him.

“I’ll see him this week and I think it should all be resolved by Wednesday. I have given him a number of options, it is now up to him to make a decision.”
