Botafogo are reportedly still interested in signing Milan veteran Clarence Seedorf…
The Fogao attempted to bring Seedorf to the Engenhao in January, but the 36-year-old insisted that he wanted to honour his contract with Milan – which expires in June.
However, according to Globoesporte, Botafogo have kept in contact with the Dutch midfielder and his representatives via telephone and e-mail, and are looking into the possibility of offering the player a contract in August, when the international transfer window reopens in Brazil.
Seedorf has admitted in the past that he would welcome the opportunity to ply his trade in Rio de Janeiro, where he and his Brazilian wife own an apartment, and it is understood that Botafogo are close to meeting his contract demands.
Another rumor and you’ll know much more about our football than me. 🙂
And they (Botafogo) are a small side nowadays.

The way I heard, his wife wants him to move to Brazil to no matter which club, so Botafogo are only one of the interested.

I suppose he’ll move to a club here. Maybe not Botafogo. But let’s wait another month.

As for now, the only certain thing is that he won’t be given an extension.
